3D Pastel AR Graffiti - The Hero, Rigoberta Menchú

Rigoberta Menchú Tum is a K'iche' Indigenous feminist and human rights activist from Guatemala. In 1981, Rigoberta Menchú had to go into hiding in Guatemala, and then flee to Mexico. That was the beginning of a new phase in her life: as the organizer abroad of resistance to oppression in Guatemala and the fight for First Nation's peasant peoples’ rights. On at least three occasions, Rigoberta Menchú has returned to Guatemala to plead the cause of the First Nation peasants, but death threats have forced her to return into exile. Over the years, Rigoberta Menchú has become widely known as a leading advocate of First Nation rights and ethno-cultural reconciliation in the Western Hemisphere, and her work has earned her several international awards. She was awarded the Nobel Prize for Peace in 1992. Rigoberta Menchú is a hero and a perpetual inspiration of mine. Attached is a making-of video showing the creation of a pastel portrait of Rigoberta Menchú, the word "hero" originally rendered in Adobe Dimension, and the deployment of augmented reality 3D graffiti using Adobe Aero.
